Perry Parker is a native of Orange County and attended Foothill High School in Tustin before graduating from UC Irvine in 1987. He has been a professional golfer since 1988. He has played on the Asian, Australasian, Canadian, Nike, Japanese, and PGA Tour, as well as many American mini-tours. He has won 5 times on the Canadian Tour and in over 30 professional tournaments in California. He has played in three United States Opens (1992, 1997, and 1998), which he describes as his greatest accomplishment as a golfer. He has nine career hole-in-ones and his low competitive round is 62 (4 times).
Perry has had the good fortune to play golf with some of the best players in the world. He has played with Tom Watson, Ian Baker-Finch, Tom Lehman, Davis love III, Paul Azinger, Mike Weir, Jim Furyk, Chris Dimarco, Tiger Woods and many other great players. All of these players have one thing in common: they have great balance. Balance is the basis of all sports, including golf. Perry believes the golf swing has to be athletic to work, especially in pressure situations. He believes the three keys to have an athletic swing are grip, posture, and balance. A player must master these to make his/her best swing on the golf course. Perry teaches these foundational aspects, as well as more advanced swing theory and playing methods.
Each lesson with Perry includes video analysis and a computer printout of your swing – to help insure a proper set up position every time. Rates are $60 for a ½ hour and $120 for an hour. Please ask about Junior discounts and discounts off of a series of lessons (3 or 5).
